R. L. (Bob) TOMLINSON. Bob is a retired Fire Department Captain. He worked out of the Fire Academy in Jacksonville and has done emergency response training since 1976. For 12 years he was in charge of emergency planning for the City of Jacksonville Fire Department. Retiring in 1992, he established Safety America Inc., training emergency responders and hazardous waste site workers. His training and certification are through USEPA and OSHA Training Institute in construction and general industry.
ROBERT
KOTSIS. Bob
retired from the Jacksonville Fire Department in 1994 with 28 years
service. Achieving the
rank of Captain, he spent 12 years assigned to an EMS unit as a
Paramedic and the remainder of his career as the Health and
Safety Officer responsible for all such issues within the Department. After retiring he became the Director of
Public Safety & Emergency Management
for Nassau County and occupied that position for three years.
He holds an Adjunct Faculty position with Florida Community College at
Jacksonville teaching all courses within the Fire Science degree
program. He currently holds a BS degree in Health Care Management.
HAMPTON
WILLIAMS. Mr. Williams retired from the U.S. Navy in 1978 after 20
years service. His latest assignment was Flight Deck Chief in charge of
safety. From 1978 to 1989 he was an inspector for Wilbert Burial
Vault Co. responsible for compliance with safety regulations. He
is certified by the Portland Cement Association for inspection and
testing of concrete. He
is an authorized outreach trainer for the OSHA Training Institute
under General Industry regulations.
