OSHA 16-Hour Confined Space Rescue.

While a confined space entry is in progress, rescuers are required to be available to respond in a timely manner. Fire departments cannot fill that function. They are not a “stand by” organization. In addition, they might not have the specialized rescue equipment needed for extrication from your spaces; or it is possible they are not trained in confined space rescue procedures. OSHA encourages on-site rescue teams since they are more familiar with your spaces and can effect a more timely rescue. This course teaches basic rescue techniques,

use of the necessary equipment for horizontal and vertical rescues, patient packaging, spine immobilization, litter basket rescue, mechanical advantage haul systems, supplied air respiratory protection, rapid patient access, along with other procedures. he second day incorporates four different rescue scenarios using our confined space simulator that can be towed to your site.
